CommerceUp Marketplace: your marketplace, your rules
The CommerceUp solution for multi-vendor sites: seller panels in admin or on the front, cart grouped by seller, joined or separate orders, optional fees and Latam operations with SaaS + Evolution.
What CommerceUp Marketplace is
CommerceUp Marketplace is SourcingUp’s platform to build and run your own marketplace in Latam: several sellers, one buyer, 100% configurable business rules. It is not a “generic multi-vendor” template or a third-party channel that owns your brand: it is the same CommerceUp product (B2B · B2C · Marketplace) with sellers, settlement, order split and operations panels ready for the model you choose.
Who it’s for (and who it isn’t)
Clarity before the pitch: if you need something else, we point you to the right hub.
Yes: multi-seller operators
You want your own marketplace: sellers who load or receive orders, while you control rules, payments, shipping and settlement.
Yes: retail or brand with a seller network
Shared or per-seller catalog, unified cart and admin or self-serve front operations.
Yes: store networks or brands with sellers
Several points of sale or sellers under your brand, with onboarding, catalog and settlement on the same multi-seller core.
No: only publishing on ML/Rappi
If the goal is to sell on third-party marketplaces, use the Mercado Libre / Rappi integrations — you don’t need to build your own marketplace.
No: wholesale B2B only, without sellers
Portal with price lists and open account without multi-vendor → CommerceUp B2B.
No: single-brand retail store
One retailer, one catalog, no sellers → CommerceUp B2C.
Own marketplace vs selling on ML vs B2B/B2C
The typical question before investing: do I need my own marketplace or a channel?
| Capability | CommerceUp Marketplace | ML / Rappi only | B2B or B2C only |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owner of the experience | Your site, your brand | The third-party marketplace | Your store, one operator |
| Sellers / vendors | Native (admin + front) | You are the seller | N/A (unless evolutionary) |
| Multi-vendor cart | Unified, grouped by seller | Channel rules | Standard cart |
| Joined / separate orders | Configurable | Per channel | Typical single order |
| Fees / commission | Optional (0%, margin or %) | The marketplace’s | No multi-seller fee |
| Business rules | Configurable + evolutionary | Few or none | B2B or B2C rules |
Three operating modes we already solve
There is no single marketplace: we configure the model for how you want to work with sellers.
Ops from the admin
Sellers operated by your team: orders, settlement, collection marking, route sheets, product copy and fast offline setup. Ideal when control stays in central operations.
Self-serve on the front
Each seller enters their account: dashboard, onboarding, products, payout data (incl. Mercado Pago OAuth when it applies), shipping, orders and claims.
Hybrid admin + front
Your team runs settlement and exceptions from the admin; sellers load catalog and track orders from their account. The mix is defined per project.
Everything a serious marketplace needs
Product capabilities — not empty promises.
Seller panels
Admin and/or front: catalog, orders, payments, shipping and claims by scope.
Multi-seller cart
One cart for the buyer, grouped by vendor with clear shipping and totals.
Joined or separate orders
Single order, sub-orders per seller or separate orders with payment split.
Optional fees
No fee, margin-based settlement or % fee in the payment flow — you choose.
Configurable rules
Approval, payments/shipping per seller, split, branding and marketplace policies.
Settlement and collection
Settlement reports, collection marking and bridge to ERP/invoicing when the project needs it.
How the customer buys (and how each seller gets paid)
Flexibility is in checkout and orders — not in forcing several carts on the buyer.
Unified cart, view by seller
The buyer builds a single cart. The UI shows items grouped by vendor: less friction, clearer who ships what.
Shipping per vendor
Shipping methods tied to sellers (N:M). In split models, shipping cost is resolved per vendor.
Single order
One receipt, several sellers on the lines. Useful when central ops consolidates.
Sub-orders per seller
Parent order + children per vendor: each seller sees and runs their part; you track the total.
Separate orders
When the business needs independent orders (or split collection per seller), separate orders are created with the active rules.
Commissions: your policy, not ours
CommerceUp does not force a % on every marketplace sale.
No platform fee
You run the marketplace without a per-sale commission to sellers; you charge for SaaS and operational value.
Margin-based settlement
Profit = price − cost at sale time. Settlement reports to close with each seller.
% fee at payment
Opt-in: marketplace fee in the collection flow (e.g. Mercado Pago collector + marketplace fee) when the commercial model requires it.
Payments, shipping and ERP in Latam
Same CommerceUp ecosystem: not a USA-only stack.
Payments
Mercado Pago (incl. split / marketplace flows when it applies), bank transfer, per-seller options and offline collection modules in admin.
Learn moreShipping
Methods per seller, Latam couriers and pickup. N:M association sellers ↔ shipping methods.
Learn moreERP and settlement

Marketplace FAQ
What is CommerceUp Marketplace?
It is the CommerceUp line to run your own multi-vendor site: sellers in admin and/or on the front, unified cart grouped by vendor, joined or separate orders, optional fees and configurable business rules. SourcingUp operates it with a SaaS + Evolution model.
Is it the same as selling on Mercado Libre or Rappi?
No. Mercado Libre and Rappi are external channels that CommerceUp also connects to. Marketplace is your platform: you define sellers, rules, commissions and the buying experience. If you only want to publish on ML/Rappi, see the marketplace integrations landings.
Do sellers manage from the admin or the front?
Both. You can operate sellers from the admin panel (orders, settlement, collection marking, routes, fast setup) and/or give them a panel in the site account: products, payments, shipping, orders and claims. It is enabled by business model.
Is the cart one only or one per seller?
The buyer uses a unified cart. With marketplace active, the cart is grouped by seller (items, shipping and totals per vendor) without forcing the customer into several sessions.
Do orders come out joined or separate?
Configurable. You can keep a single order, generate sub-orders per seller under a parent order, or separate orders by vendor (including payment split when the model requires it).
Does CommerceUp force a commission on sellers?
No. You can operate with no platform fee, settle by margin (price minus cost) or enable a percentage fee in the payment flow (for example Mercado Pago marketplace). The fee is a business rule, not a product tax.
How does it differ from CommerceUp B2B and B2C?
B2B is a wholesale portal (price lists, open account, minimums). B2C is a retail store to the consumer. Marketplace is multi-seller: several vendors on one site with their own operations, settlement and rules. You can combine lines by project.
What business rules can be configured?
Seller approval, payment and shipping methods per vendor, payment split, seller name and branding, settlement, collection marking, catalog import (when it applies) and order mode. What doesn’t ship out of the box is built with Super Humanos hours.
How is investment structured?
SaaS subscription (no forced commission on your GMV), seller implementation/onboarding and, if needed, Super Humanos hours for custom rules or integrations. Scope and go-live are defined in the quote.
